Because we were a little bit late to wake up and pack the things and have some breakfast, we were quite late to depart from the hotel, but managed to catch the 9 AM airport express in the Tokyo Station. The train departed just right after we hop onto it. We were told that 4 of our tickets are with seats while another one is for standing, but did not manage to find the seats. I guess we was wrong expecting to see 4 empty seats adjacent to each other, since I remembered there are some empty seats on the cars we passed through. At the end, we had to stand (paid the more expensive tickets with seats for nothing) along the way to the airport.
Arrived in the airport about an hour later, we were at the right time to check in. While the others are queuing for check-in, I managed to buy some souvenirs (haven't bought anything other than the kimono, but fortunately there are several souvenir shops in the airport mall section). Passed through the immigration after check-in, we walked straight to the designated boarding gate. To our surprise, there was many girls with school uniforms in the duty-free area. Probably it is common for Japanese schools to have international study tours. Queued for a while in the boarding gate, we finally boarded into the Singapore Airlines' Boeing 747-400 and say goodbye to Tokyo and Japan. I really do hope to come again in the future.
